From Pain to Joy!

My thoughts, today, reminded me about the beauty of life. There are a few things that I would sometimes overlook; the gift of life.

How many times have we taken life for granted, just to see families become dysfunctional and homes broken by our broken perception of life?

As I sat in my study, I began to reflect upon my life and where I was, concerning my goals and opportunities for 2019.
Yes, we are now in the fourth quarter of 2018! My! How time has flown so swiftly without even giving us time to digest the wins that we have succeeded in 2018.

Life is precious, and families are too. We have only one chance to make a good impact on our experiences. Don’t waste it, nor throw away good opportunities because you’re not ready to build on a new start for 2019. Past hurts and toxic relationships can destroy your confidence to complete the next level in your goals and vision.

In my book,Ā From Pain to Joy, I wrote mainly on rejection and forgiveness, the key to our spiritual healing. The act of forgiveness will empower us to move from zero to 100.

For many of us that have felt the sting of rejection and painful situations, have acted out in desperation and fear. We have all gone through some level of rejection from loved ones, friends and relationships. These deep-rooted issues can affect our perceptions, feelings, as well as our emotions. We may, at some points find ourselves living in a state of confusion, as we grapple to find the right solution to our pain.

One of the roots of bitterness is refusing to forgive those that have hurt you in the past. Refusing to forgive is like cutting off your lifeline to your future and your destiny. You can try to move on with your life, but one day it will remind you that there are people you need to reconcile with. But it can be overwhelming and challenging to forgive someone if you have not fully forgiven yourself.

In James 5:19, it reminds us we should pray and confess our sins, praying for each other in love, so that we may be healed.

Forgive someone today, and move forward, taking a step each day to fulfil your dreams and purpose. Make a difference today. Don’t be bogged down with life’s issues and woes, because tomorrow is not promised to us.

What you make of your life, is where you will find your destiny.
